Bonus Entry----Autograph Book Mystery

My sister, Nanny, noticed from the autograph book entry that "Tap" seemed to be the camp Alice and her friends attended. A closer look at other entries proved she was correct. A Camp Tapawingo was referred to in another entry. Nanny found a Tapawingo in Maine. It had a website and a newsletter.

I wrote an email to the editor of the newsletter explaining our mystery and here is the response I received today:

Dear Ann,

This is very kind of you.  You certainly have found "Tap".
I do not have an updated address for Alice however I do for other family members and will begin working on this fun puzzle on my end.
If you would like to mail this to me, you are welcome to.  Or you can mail it directly to Alice in the coming months once I locate her, you choose, I will merely facilitate.

All the best,
JD

Of course, I will send the book on but I hope we will learn the answer to the question of what connection Alice has with the house.

And thanks Nanny for being so observant!

Bill's favorite entry.

Day 8

The workman removed the parquet floors in the kitchen today. Try to imagine this linoleum with the lovely wallpaper which was even on the ceiling!

Day 5

On Thursday, Patrick was tearing out the soffit in the kitchen when something fell to the floor. When he looked down, this is what he saw:

The autograph book belonged to:

Here is an entry from the book:
The book is filled with many such verses and names and addresses from fellow campers of Alice Lowenstein. Patrick said that the book must have been in the attic. We have not had much luck with computer searches.  Any ideas of who this might be?

Day 4

It was a busy day at 1102 Oakwood. Both bathrooms now have subfloors and the master bath already has the bathtub installed.

Also, one of the workman found something interesting today. It will require some detective work. I will hopefully let you know more tomorrow.....

Day 3

The demolition is almost complete. The workers described the bathrooms as a "bear" of a job because the tile was set in inches of concrete.

Today the sub floors go in and the plumber gets to work.

Day 1

At 7:30 this morning, a giant dumpster arrived in the driveway.

The crew got started on the demolition of the kitchen and two bathrooms.

Wyatt, one of the contractors discovered some lovely wallpaper under the cabinets.
